  2.                                  forward pass, Don Hutson 
  3.                                  was pro footballΓÇÖs greatest 
  4.                                  pass catcher.

  6. The forward pass was first allowed in the 
  7. NFL in 1933. After an All-America career at 
  8. the University of Alabama, Don arrived in the
  9. NFL in 1935 as a member of the Green Bay 
  10. Packers. Don scored a touchdown on his 
  11. first play in his first professional game, 
  12. against the Chicago Bears. It was the 
  13. gameΓÇÖs only touchdown. In his second year, 
  14. he led Green Bay to the 1936 NFL champion-
  15. ship. The Packers repeated as champs in
  16. 1939 and 1944.

  18. Don could also kick. In a game against 
  19. the Detroit Lions, in 1944, Don caught 
  20.
